My Little Picasso

Ok...so I know I am always talking (and bragging) about how smart Addison is BUT she waltzes into the kitchen while I am cooking dinner and says, "Mommy look, look mommy, I drew an elephant!" and low and behold I couldn't believe my eyes. I'll let you see for yourselves.

Now tell me that does not look like an elephant, ok...sort of! She's still my little Picasso!

Exciting News !!!!!!!!

Addison is POTTY TRAINED, completely!!!!!!! She has been wearing panties to bed every night for a whole week now and has been dry EVERY single day!!!!! No diaper, no pull ups, no diaper champ, no changing table, ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She still is hilarious when she poops because she still names them animals, but most of the big ones are all Shamu which is just hilarious and the little ones are now simply known as "little poopies"!!!! So cute!!!! And let me tell ya, she doesn;t just go in and get the deed done, no she takes like 10-15 minutes to do it and it drives me crazy!!!! We had a very busy, but very fun, birthday week. Her actual birthday was on Thursday and we had minnie mouse birthday pancakes for breakfast, Grammie came over and played for a while, then we wen't to see my dad for lunch, were supposed to go to Monkey Joes but learned we couldn't have her party at the park so had to rush home and start the monumental task of cleaning the house, my mom came over for dinner and we had Minnie Mouse pizza (homeade and looked terrible but was delicious), then opened presents and had her horrible looking minnie mouse cake that I attempted to make (believe me Martha Stewart would probably cry if she saw it!!!) sung Happy Birthday and went to bed, it was quite a day!!!! On Friday, we went to go see Elmo Live with some of her frineds Madison, Wesley, Harrison, and Jackson. It was really cute and then we went to Chick-Fil-A. On Saturday was her party and it went really well and we had a great time. We went to Outback for dinner with my mom later that night and I think I felt the baby move!!!!!!! I saw that the FSU game was on TV because my dad and brother were there and I swear as soon as I said the horrible words FSU the baby kicked as if to say "ya mom they stink"!!!!! Sunday we went with Grammie to the Lukas Nursery Butterfly and Art Festival. It was fun but soooo hot!!! They had a bunch of animals there that Addison liked, got to hear a children's presentation on butterflies from a very peculiar butterfly guy and had some yummy food!!! When we got home we had to do lots of laundry and help Wes pack for his trip this week. Yes, our man is leaving us for 2 1/2 days to go to Indianapolis for some work convention thing so it's just us girls for a few days but that's ok because I have TONS of pictures to go through, edit and post and lots of thank you cards to get out so I think we will be busy, oh and Addison has shots tommorow!!!! Wish us luck!!!

My Babies

So my BIG Baby is doing pretty well. The surgery on his nasal septum and turbinates went well, the Dr. said that the septum was extremely bad way up at the top so he should breath 150% better, YAY!!!!! His head hurts, his nose hurts, his teeth hurts, he's a bit nauseous but hey he's got Lortabs, fun, fun, fun!!!!! My little baby is doing well also. We had a bit of an "incident" in the car yesterday. She threw a bit in my car, ok A LOT and EVERYWHERE!!! Poor thing said her belly hurts and she kept saying over and over "Mommy, I'm soooooo sorry and I need my daddy!" poor thing, after we got home and all cleaned up and took a nap she was a little better and has been fine since, we'll cross our fingers! My littlest baby is doing well also I'm about 4 months along now and feeling wonderful and very excited to find out if it's a boy or a girl, we'll know in about a month!!!! Addison is actually at my mother-in-law's still and Wes is in bed fast asleep and I'm sitting on the couch and can't find anything to watch on TV and I feel like because I don't have Addison here I should really just relax because this will probably never happen again, but I think I'm a little bored!!!! Ok, so I probably shouldn't say that but hey, maybe I'll go scrapbook a bit, work on my Christmas 2005 and 2006 albums. Maybe.

So I am very excited to say that Disney has bought our Children's Hospital and we are now called Disney Children's Hospital, cool huh. All the expansions and remodeling will be complete by 2010 so it's a while but I am pretty excited. I just love Disney and I think all the drawings and ideas they have are going to be really fun and exciting.

Sicko Update

So, Addison has been feeling a bit better as you can see from the photos. We "moved" into my bedroom for the afternoon because she wanted to sleep in Daddy's bed and watch Diego. She has been eating really good and drinking plenty. Her fever is down to 100 so that's good. After her nap she was a bit warm and clingy for like 2 hours but now she is ever so chipper again and fever is down to 99.5, woo hoo! As for me, I'm really stuffy and hungry as a bear si I think I'll survive.

Sicko Babies

So, I woke up this morning with a snotty nose and a sore throat and a desire to just lay in bed ALL day, crap I have a kid!!! That's when I heard her whinning on the monitor (at 730) thats she wants milk!! She went back to sleep after about 30 seconds so I thought hey what the heck so I fell back asleep too until about 830 when she started crying again and wanting mommy and milky so off I went. When I went in there she was just a crying and looking all pitiful so I picked her up and of course she was burning up, 102.5 to be exact. So, in went the mortin and in went the milk. She has been laying on the couch with her binky, blankie, cobers (covers), her piwow (pillow), Dolly, Lola, Ruby (all her dollies) and her bunny, and of course Dora on the tube. She wanted some yogurt so I gave her some and she has since eaten 3 gogurts (lowfat, low sugar strawberry yoplait yogurt in a tube so hopefully no vomitus coming uputus soon), although three might have been too much but hey she was so pitiful when asking for anoder one anoder one pweeeeease mommy, how could I refuse that. She is now dancing on the couch to We Did It from Dora so I think the Motrin has definitley kicked in and in about 2 hours when its almost time for the tylenol she will somber down and start burning up again, dang I LOVE being a mom. Oh yea, I feel like crap too but like my daughter I am starving so I guess I can't be that sick. I am thinking I'm going to go make my awesome homeade from scratch buttermilk waffles and a HOT cup of tea, yummy that should make me feel much butter, as long as Addison lets me out of her sight for that long. Oh yea, hubby had a cold for a couple of days and I'm sure that's where we have gotten it from and on top of that he is supposed to have surgery on his nose on Friday morning, and get this his Dr.'s name is Dr. Booger, isn't that hilarious. He has a really bad deviated septum with bone spurs and so he doesn't sleep well and wants to sleep ALL the time so hopefully this will help out a lot and give him better sleep with more energy. So I guess I will be taking care of my sick self, and my two sicko babies this weekend, FUN!

Potty Training Update

So, Addison is doing EXTREMELY well in the potty training arena!!!! Yaaaaayyy, I just can't believe how easy it was (my next kid is going to be a nightmare!!!) and how well she is doing. She now goes down for naps with panties on because she never wets the bed during a nap and will wake up and ask to go pee pee, she even will tell me she needs to go pee if she's in the bathtub too. When we go out I also put her in panties and she does great, no accidents! She wakes up from nightime dry probably 4 out of the 7 nights during the week so she's still wearing a pull up at night. Last night around midnight she woke up and had to pee so Wes got her up and she peed and then went right back to bed! I'm so afraid to put her to bed with just panties but maybe that's what she needs. I don't know I don't want to push it and maybe if she consistently wakes up and needs to pee or consistently wakes up dry then I'll go for it but for now she is doing great and life without changing diapers is oh so GRAND!!!!! I put away her changing table and her diaper pail and it is so exciting!!! I also took her big pink chair out of her room and put up a really cute bookshelf that looks like a big dollhouse in it's place. I set her little white rocking chair (the one that was mine when I was her age) right next to it and she is so cute sitting there reading her books. Her room looks all grown up now and not like a nursery at all!!! So sad, but hey I get to do it all over again here pretty soon, fun fun fun!!!! We got all out carpets (the ones damaged from Tropical Storm Fay) mold treated and cleaned so it is like I have brand new carpet!! The spare room that is to become the nursery is all empty (so they could clean it really good) and I can't wait to make it into a nursery!!!! Our house is currently white at the moment. The boys sealed all the windows and all the cracks and have painted a primer/sealer coat on it and now were just waiting to paint it this weekend. I can't wait because it is going to be a different color since I never got to choose the color in the first place. It is going to be Huntington Beige with a cottage red door and cottage red shutters, I am so darn excited. I feel like I'm geting a brand new house. I just can't wait for it to all be done. I will post a picture of Addison's not so nursery anymore bedroom and our white house as soon as I get all my computer stuff together (we moved the desk and all that fun stuff into our bedroom). Ta Ta For Now!!!!

Nights In Rodanthe

Ok, so I just got through reading this book and Oh MY GOSH, what a good book. As always Sparks writes a great love story that makes you completely lose it and sob at the end so you can barley read the last few pages (just like the Notebook). It was a pretty short book that took no time to read and such a good story. I can't wait for the movie to come out. It stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane, two of my most FAVORITE actors. They were both in Unfaithful which I loved too but I just can't wait to see this one. Although, I might wait until it's on DVD so I can watch it in my room by myself so no one sees me sobbing like a lunatic. Anyways if you loved The Notebook and other Nicholas Sparks book you will love this one, I did!!!

Some Prego Pics

Ok so here a couple of pictures of my ENORMOUS belly. These were taken in Buffalo New York at Wes's best friend Eric's wedding. I am HUGE, I am about 13 weeks pregnant here. We had our 1st ultrasound 2 days prior to these pics and for how big my belly is I have gained 0 POUNDS-wierd I know, but when I got home I weighed myself (and a couple of days after because I thought it was just a fluke) and sure enough I have gained no weight! She was actually lecturing me about eating more and me and Wes were like we swear I am eating like a frantic pig!!! But hey, I must eat more, doctors orders!!!! The baby was quite active during the ultrasound doing summersaults and all that fun stuff. The ultrasound was really neat because it totally looks like a baby, arms, legs, head and everything else, completely formed! So, only a little over a month and we will know what we got cookin' in there!!!! I would post the pictures of the ultrasound but the pictures are extreme close ups and the baby looks like an alien, the eyes are huge along with the ginormous head, but it's so cute anyways, only an alien a mother could love! Anyways, enjoy my gigantic belly pictures!

Kids Say The Darndest Things

Scene One: The Bathroom
Disclaimer: This is a poop story so if you are neither a nurse or a mommy of a toddler stop reading because this is sure to gross you out!!
Addison: (Bent down examining her little string of a poop) Ohhhhhh Mommy SNAKE!!!!!!
Mommy: Dying laughing--No honey that's your little poo!
Addison:No Mommy, no, it's a SSSSSNAKE!!!!!

Addison: (examining her monstorous poop later that day) Ohhhh Mommy look, Shamuuuuuu!!!
Mommy: (Ok-I just had to laugh at this one no words!!!)

Scene Two: The Backyard
Addison has just tripped and fell on top of her ball and I think bit her lip or tongue.
Addison: (Crying quite loudly) Oh no I need my mommy!
Mommy: (Pulled her off my chest and looked at her intently between the alligator tears) But honey I am your mommy.
Addison: (examining my face) Ohhhhh, yea....(long pause) Oh mommy!!!

Scene Three: Ok so there was a scene three but with my prego brain I have completely forgot, but I will post it as soon as I remember it!
