Stormy Day

We had a really stormy day today so we stayed inside all day and played and we had a blast! Me and Addison put together a puzzle she got from the Easter Bunny and her and Preston played on the floor with some of Addison's old baby toys we brought out. Later, Preston napped in the swing while mommy blogged and Addison watched a Barbie movie that scared her! Good times!

Busy Day

So this s how my day started...



...I had sent Addison to her room for not listening and went back to the living room to nurse Preston. So I guess I kind of "forgot" that she was in her room and when I was done feeding the little guy I thought it was a little too quiet and as I went in search of why it was so quiet I heard a soft whimper coming from Addison's room and realized she was still in there, oops, and when I opened the door this is what I found! Not only did she empty out the ENTIRE contents of her drawer she had her elbow stuck in the drawer and was wearing only her pj top and nothing else, except for her cute little winter hat on her head and her stockings around her neck like a scarf!! So off I ran to grab the camera not thinking maybe I should pull her arm out first, ha!!!!! I think her arm was just kind of in there and not stuck because she was not screaming or crying and she didn't make a peep when I ran to get the camera and not to mention there was no mark on her arm that happened to just slide right out of the drawer it was "stuck" in. SO anyway that's how my morning started. Then, I had waned to go to the mall in search of a cute little preppy easter outfit for Preston but it was rainy out so I decided nay on that idea so I was a little bummed. Insead I decided to do 4 loads of laundry, fold it and put it away, tidied up the living room, the kitchen (and emptied the ever so full dishwasher), Addison's room and my room. Next, I thought well Preston is still asleep so I'm gonna hop in the shower and get ready. After I did this I fed Preston and decided it looked much better outside so heck with it I'm going shopping!!! This was my first time out with both kids ALONE!!!! It wet pretty well, we went to Old Navy and Carters. Preston did extremely well (well that is until we were done shopping and in the mile long Chick-fil-a drive through line where he proceeded to scream his little head off for 5 minutes unknown to me he was sitting in a whole lotta poo that had soaked through his onsie and pants!!) but Addison had a little trouble "listening". The double stroller I have doesn't "contain" her very well so she kept trying to escape. All in all it was a pretty successful trip Preston settled down in the car and we were heading back home with yummy Chick-fil-a in hand!! So, I got home, nursed Preston, went through the cute clothes I found for both of them, folded some more laundry and then made a pretty big dinner. After dinner I proceeded to bathe both children, get jammies on and even snapped a few pics of Addison in the bath and in her new ballerina jammies we got earlier that day that came with a tu-tu-how perfect. So that was my day, pretty impressive, huh?
